Direct bookings instead of
18% to Booking.com.
Hotel websites guests understand instantly, that load lightning-fast on mobile and lead to a direct booking at the tap of a button — multilingual, with integration to your existing booking system.
Sound familiar?
Four sentences we hear from almost every hotelier.
18% per booking. Even at 1,000 Booking nights a year at €150, that is €27,000 a year going to Booking instead of to you.
Over 70% of all hotel searches happen on a smartphone. If your site does not appear in under 2 seconds on 3G, you lose the guest before they see the first room photo.
Cross-border guests from Italy and Slovenia are an enormous potential in Carinthia — right by the Slovenian and Italian border — if the content is right. If they see an automatic Google-translation disaster, they book elsewhere.
The system is not the problem — the website is. If the path from “view room” to “book” takes more than 3 clicks, the guest goes back to Booking.
Let's do the honest math
What Booking costs.
What the website costs.
That makes the website less than one fifteenth of what goes to Booking in this example.
In your currency: at €150 per night, every direct booking saves €27 in commission. €1,788 ÷ €27 = 66 directly booked nights a year — just over one a week — and the website has paid for itself. Every further direct night is yours.
A sample calculation, not a forecast: we do not promise booking numbers — we only weigh your own commission statement against a fixed price. Insert your own numbers; the logic stays the same.
Experience it, don’t take our word
See the difference
This is how your hotel website feels to guests on a smartphone – built the ordinary way versus by WelleWest. Both load at the same time.
Simulation: smartphone on a mobile network
Site builder or WordPress: your guest is kept waiting – and many book elsewhere.
A WelleWest hotel website (example) – loaded instantly, ready to take booking enquiries.
What we actually do
Three things must be right
for your website to bring direct bookings.
The website itself, findability and measurability – we take care of all three.
A site that convinces guests
Loads in under 1 second and leads from the room photo to the booking in three clicks – on mobile too, where your guests search.
The technology behind it: hand-built code instead of a site builder, optimised images, hotel markup for Google (stars and prices right in the search result).
Get found when guests search
Your hotel shows up when someone googles “hotel + your region” – including in Google’s hotel search with prices and availability.
The technology behind it: local SEO and structured data. On request, amplified with ads through our partner agency Nordsteg.
You see what it delivers
A monthly report in plain language: how many booking enquiries came through your website – and where they came from. In black and white whether the site pays off.
The technology behind it: a count directly on the website (conversion tracking) that reliably captures every enquiry – even when guests use an ad blocker.
Hotel-specific building blocks
What every one of our hotel websites includes.
Every room with its own detail page, gallery, amenities, price and availability enquiry. Plus invisible room labelling in the code that Google understands (Schema.org).
Standard: an enquiry form with dates, number of guests and preferred room — sent straight to your inbox. Premium: integration with your booking system (Cultuzz, ASA, Mews, Hotelbird) for real-time bookings.
German + English included in Professional. Every additional language (e.g. Italian, Slovenian) +€29/month. Each language with its own address and clean language labelling for Google (hreflang), no auto-translation.
Images are automatically optimised in 3 sizes (thumbnail, medium, hero) and converted to modern, extra-small image formats (WebP/AVIF). On mobile devices, only the smallest suitable variant is loaded.
What surrounds the hotel — excursions, ski areas, hiking trails, sights. Google rewards this depth of content in its rankings, and so do your guests.
Reviews from TrustYou, Holidaycheck or other platforms directly on the website — as a trust signal right before the booking enquiry.
Four guarantees
What we put in writing for you.
At least 90 of 100 in Google's own website test — or we don’t take a cent of the setup fee.
Accessible to the legal standard (WCAG 2.1 AA) from the start — mandatory since 28 June 2025 for hotels with online booking.
When the contract ends, you receive the complete website as ready-to-use files — no hostage model.
We answer email enquiries within 24 hours – usually much faster on working days.
What we do not promise: specific booking numbers, the top spot on Google for your hotel, or freedom from Booking.com commissions. Anyone who promises that is lying.
Honest division of labour: Your website does not create new demand — it captures the demand that already exists: guests who discover you on Booking and then google your name, recommendations, returning guests. Whether those guests book direct is decided in the first seconds on your site. For new demand — campaigns, price-comparison platforms such as Google Hotels (metasearch), systematically less portal dependency — we work with our partner agency Nordsteg.

Honestly speaking
Who we are not the right fit for.
The honest 10-second check: three statements, three answers – and you know whether we are a match.
With us, we handle all changes — in return, the technology stays untouchably fast. We deliberately do not offer a site builder for self-editing.
Hotel chains forced into a central corporate system — there you (and we) have no say.
A website alone does not conjure up guests — visibility is ongoing work (see our three-gears methodology).
Then we are probably the right fit for each other. Talk it through briefly – 10 min, phone or WhatsApp →

Frequently asked questions
What hoteliers ask us most often.
Can a hotel's own website really generate direct bookings?
Yes, but only if three things are right: a fast mobile booking experience, multilingual content and a realistic trust signal. That is exactly what we build your website around — and we make your direct-booking share transparently measurable in the monthly reports. Every direct booking saves the 18% commission paid to Booking.com.
How do you integrate our booking system (Cultuzz, ASA, Mews etc.)?
The standard is an enquiry form that sends booking requests straight to you. As a premium option, we integrate your existing booking system directly into the website (Cultuzz, ASA Hotelsoftware, Mews, Hotelbird and others) — guests then book in real time without ever leaving your website.
Which languages are included as standard?
German and English are included in the Professional package. Every additional language – such as Italian or Slovenian – costs €29 net per month. The reason: the translation lives with the content — with every change we update all languages, hence the ongoing model.
What happens to our images and content from the old website?
We migrate your existing images free of charge and optimise them for mobile speed. We review your copy and suggest improvements — if copy needs to be written completely from scratch, we calculate that transparently as a setup surcharge.
What does a hotel website from WelleWest cost?
A one-time €790 setup, then €69–249 per month – everything included: hosting, maintenance, changes and support. Only a 12-month minimum term – cancellable monthly and informally after that – and the website is yours from day one. All prices net.
What is really included in the monthly fee?
First and foremost: from Business upwards, every content change – new photos, rates, offers, texts, additional pages. On top of that, the complete technical side: hosting, SSL certificate, daily backups, security updates, maintenance and support with a 24-hour reaction time. Honestly not included: your domain (stays with your provider, roughly €30–60 a year), e-mail accounts and the licence of your booking system — integrating it into the website is of course our job.
“All changes included” – does that really apply to every change?
With Business and Professional: yes. A new room gallery, updated rates, a new summer offer, an additional page – you send us an e-mail, we implement it, no extra invoice. The honest limit: a complete rebrand or a fundamental redesign of the website is a separate project, which we discuss openly beforehand. In Starter, small changes are included; larger ones are done at the discounted care hourly rate of €119 net.
Who owns the website - and what happens if we cancel?
You do - from day one. The website is clean, hand-built HTML/CSS, not a website-builder account. If you cancel, we transfer all files to your server - any other web designer can continue working with them, and the embedded booking engine keeps running as normal. No lock-in.
How long does the setup take?
Depending on scope, 2–4 weeks from the order, slightly longer with a premium booking system integration. After that we handle the content updates: you send us a short note, we change it – without an extra invoice.
10 minutes. Phone or WhatsApp. Honest answers.
Call, message us on WhatsApp or simply send the form — no video call, no calendar blocker. Patrick looks at your hotel website live, checks speed + multilingual content + the booking path — and tells you where the leverage is.
